How much non-HCM?

   I poked around but couldn't find a topic on this.  What is the policy on non-HCM clips?  Obviously non-HCM is encouraged (or maybe it is just tolerated as a reality).  But how much?  Should it be at least "Hidden" or at least "Masturbation"?  Or is it wide open as long as it is categorized properly?

	I'll try to answer from past discussions... ...long ago it was decided to allow NOT HCM - actually it became impossible to prevent it so "tolerated". But to keep things on-topic we had a simple rule...separate NOT HCM from HCM using the two folders so that members can still find easily what they want. The clip list uses the location of files to advise members what is what... How much...well disk is cheap, bandwidth is not (takes time) so we advise strongly you keep everything you download. The benefit is that DC++ will prevent the same stuff (even if named differently) being downloaded again...create a \NOT HCM\crap folder if necessary ! NOT HCM can be anything, not just hidden or mast - within our other rules... ...the most important thing is for members to put REAL HCM in the \HCM folder....there is a topic somewhere describing what we regard as real hcm... hope that helps.

	That sure does. So I have waaaay to much stuff (like 400 GB... disk is cheap!) so I'll just put this out there: If anyone has something (some area) they are interested in, let me know, and if I have some, I'll share it. I do NOT have any of the kind of stuff that is banned here, so don't ask.

	I would say to members, share everything you have as long as its sorted into HCM and NOT HCM. This also means you will not download duplicates. Of course, avoid JPG, EXE, ZIP and other files not allowed.
